The staff were polite and helpful, spacious and clean rooms, beautiful setting by the river, well-maintained grounds with abundant wildlife, great breakfast options, wonderful guided birdwalks.

Can honestly say there wasn't anything not to like.

I really got my money's worth at Selva Verde Lodge. The room was huge with big windows overlooking the forest, and the value for the price was excellent. The location was perfect, right in the middle of the rainforest, and the staff treated me with great care and attention.

The morning meal could be improved with more variety and flavor.

As a nature lover, I absolutely loved the hiking trails and the surrounding forest at this property. The facilities were top-notch and comfortable, with strong wifi and amazing meals. The pool was a great addition and I thoroughly enjoyed the guided nature hikes.

The only downside was that there was a lack of personal attention and care from the staff.

The guided tour through the primary forest was an incredible experience, with knowledgeable guides and the chance to spot various animals and birds. The hotel grounds were well-maintained, and there were options for bird walks and night walks. The two restaurants offered delicious food, and the presentation about animals and nature in the evenings was a great addition. Lastly, the presence of a Public Relations person, Gustavo, who was attentive and provided advice and information about the property and the country, was much appreciated.

I had an amazing experience at a beautiful resort in the heart of the jungle. The wildlife spotting opportunities were incredible, especially during the night excursions. The birdwatching at the nursery area was absolutely fabulous. The Italian restaurant on-site served delicious authentic pastas, and the breakfast spread was quite good. The rooms were spacious, clean, and had a relaxing water view with chairs and hammocks. The knowledgeable guides made the tours even more memorable.

We had a perfect stay at this amazing lodge! The location, overlooking the river, was breathtaking. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with water machines on the balcony. The staff was fabulous, especially the knowledgeable guides who took us on wonderful walks and trips to nearby attractions. The full board option was great, with delicious meals and a good range of drinks. The swimming pool was very nice too.

The bungalows north of the road experienced some traffic noise.

The bird watching experience was excellent, with talented and personable guides who helped us find many resident species. The location was also conveniently close to La Selva Biological station and they arranged a tour for us. We also enjoyed a relaxing and bird-filled boat trip on the Sarapiquí River.

The accommodations were a bit rustic with no AC and open style rooms, which may not be suitable for everyone. Additionally, the breakfast was a bit disappointing compared to other properties we stayed at during our tour.

We had an amazing time at a rainforest gem! Walking out of our door and onto a forest trail was an incredible experience. The rooms were clean and comfortable, even though there was no AC. The Italian restaurant on site was fantastic and the bartender, Ken, was engaging and made great drinks. The guides were passionate and knowledgeable, ensuring we got to see the incredible wildlife. I highly recommend this hotel for an immersive rainforest experience.

The property was huge with a variety of habitats to explore. The trails that crossed the extension bridge and entered the forest were amazing. The location of the hotel was great, being within 15 minutes of La Selva and town. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, making us feel welcome throughout our stay.

The rooms were a mixed bag. Some were not as well located as we had hoped, and the noise from the nearby highway was bothersome in certain rooms.
